Weihong Zengis an associate professor of Jinhe Center for Economic Research and the School of Public Policy and Administration, deputy director of Center for Aging and Health Research, Xian Jiaotong University, China. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from University of Tsukuba, Japan in 2006 and M.A in Engineering in Xian Jiaotong University in 1997. She was a visiting scholar in the department of sociology at University of Victoria, Canada in Aug. 2013. During the period from 1999 to 2006 when she was studying in Japan, followed by the health economist Prof. Tadashi Yamada in University of Tsukuba, collaborating with several economists from Columbia University, the City University of New York, USA, and their research results have been applied for improving welfare of aging population plan by MHLW, Japan. Since 2006, she was engaged in teaching and research work in the school of public policy and Jinhe Center for Economic Research in Xian Jiaotong University. She is mainly interested in heath economics, welfare economics and social science research related to aging society, the health of the elderly, long-term care needs, psychological and physiological health research. In recent five years, she was organized and participated in a total of 6 research projects, including National Social Science Fund Project, Social Science Fund Project in Shaanxi Provincial, and provincial research project.
