The evening of November 25, sponsored by the Jinhe Center for Economic Research, Jinhe pulpit - famous series of lectures held at the Science Museum 101. Professor Xiong Bingyuan as the speaker, brought a spectacular lecture about economics thinking in law for the students.

Under the guide of "let the evidence speak" and by case analysis and on-site discussions, Professor shared some methods of economic analysis, Professor Xiong made extremely dangerous principles and minimum cost precautionary principle. In addition, Professor Xiong present alternative analysis, timeline analysis, graphical analysis, and referred to the actual cases, sparked great interests of the students

Professor Xiong citing Sun Yat-sen, "making best use of its people, lands and goods" the interpretation of Posner's wealth leads to great ideas --The demand for justice is not independent of its price. For the pursuit of justice can not be ignoring its price. He providing the relevant case to explore together with the students.

“In 1905, an American photographer from New York shot a 200 stunning Himalayan snow photos, Note that in 191 the airplane was invented. When he brought the photos back to the United States, due to printing shop mistakes, 200 films were damaged in a print shop, while the photographer cost totally of $50,000, equivalent to about 200 million dollars today. But at that time each photo print cost $1. So how much should paid by the print shop to photographer is reasonable? " Students and teachers published views enthusiastically. Through combining with graphical analysis and timeline analysis, Professor Xiong finished a wonderful explanation. If the print shop paid $50,000, then when photographers went to print again, he would not remind the printers the importance of photographs and his behavior would remain unchanged; for the print shop, it would not afford resulting shutting up, or learn a lesson, and it would slow down the printing speed and reduce productivity; for the justice system, such cases will appear more and more, because there existed a careless photographers who first tasted the sweetness. If you paid $200 for the print shop, for photographers, he undoubtedly got into trouble, but his case would also remind the other photographers in the future to buy insurance or give a statement before the printing important pictures; for the print shop, this is lost payment would not affect its production, thus ensuring a high-speed production efficiency; for the judiciary, such cases would be less and less. We should be pursuing a rational allocation of benefits for the past, and social resources maximization in the future. The reason why we deal with in the past is that we have a future.
